Stub nose.

When I was in high school we started restoring what I thought was a 1948 F6. Well it was a stub nose. My neighbor has one he is selling for $2500 bucks. I have always wanted one so I am probably going to buy it. What I want to know is what model is a stub nose? Is there anywhere I can get info on them? I have looked for one for 10 years...

These pages from the 1952 Dealer Handbook should give you answers to most questions. There shouldn't be any significant differences that I can think of between the years other than sheet metal. I scanned the pages that exclude the beds because they show you all optional wheel bases. The pages with beds only had 134" and 158" wheel bases.

You'll want to do a forum search about the wheels on the truck. Use key words "widow maker" and "Firestone RH-5°.

The tandem axle farm truck looks great. I'd love to have that around to use at harvest time if I was still farming.
