A quick question. I ordered those kits from Dennis Carpenter. The seals that came in the Control Valve kit, B8TZ-3A650-A , Are a smaller diameter than the ones that came out of my control valve.

I'm going to ask John (Hotwrench) again if he's sure that the control valve came off a 59 F-600. Is it possible that someone could have put a control valve from an F-700 or larger on the F-600 my control valve came from?

 

I got one more for you, its B4TZ=3A764-A cyl kit It supposed to fit 54-60 F-800
I bought on ebay.

It may have come off an F600...but it may not have been on there originally. That's a problem with these old rigs.

A previous owner may have bought a rebuilt control valve from an autoparts store, but...which one did he get?

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has THREE: 800-543-4959.

What I would do is call one of these three, ask for the measurements of the seals.

Of the three, I'd call Miller first.

Wesley is now run by the wife of the deceased owner, and while a nice person...isn't very knowledgeable on the very parts she is selling.

Carpenter...uh...well...sometimes if you get the right person, you might get help, but that isn't always the case.

Well it looks like DC sent me the kits for the 600.

It appears that I have the control valve and cyl for an F800.
