Pic of your worse Basket case project
Okay heres one I drug in. It was a real mess. I still roll my eyes thinking of buying it.
It last ran in 1971 and had stock number stickers still on the new clutch. The steering box was like it was rebuilt. I took it apart and put new seals in it and have it in my current truck.

The worse basket case I've had, and I've had some real beater parts trucks, it my F-2:
My dad bought the truck back in '68-69 to use for his auto repair business. It was beat when he bought it and it didn't get much better. He pop riveted patches in the floors and fenders and painted it with a case of spray bomb black paint. He went out of business in '73, stopped driving it about a year later and parked it on the side of the drive. In '81 I started tearing it apart. I finally got it on the road about 14 years ago. All I had to do was replace the engine, the entire front clip, the entire cab (I am still using the original dash pod which is in perfect condition), the box (patched the rear fenders and tailgate), the entire brake system. Other than these parts it's all original
My sister has given me the opinion she would have like to have the old truck when she refers to the truck as "Dad's" I remind her I bought a larger percentage of the truck that is sitting there than what he gave me, so it's not really the truck Dad had, it's all my truck.

I forgot to mention my engine was full of water to the carb top and the header panel was rotted out all across the top.
I scrapped most of it and stripped it down tot he cab and frame and sold the rolle ron ebay to another builder for just over $100. I wish I would have kept a couple of more parts off of it, but at the time I was glad to see it go.

I haven't gotten around to this project yet so it's still in the same condition as you see it here...that said, the car under the cover behind this one in the picture is a 50 Merc and that is the next in line after my 56 F100.

I don't get. My wife, along with many others here, think I'm obsessed with old trucks. She never sees the beauty in the stuff I drag home. I haven't seen truck here yet that I wouldn't let follow me home on my trailer, for the right price that is.
BTW, I've had my F-2 a lot longer than I've known my wife so there's not much she could have, or can, done about it. It's here to stay.
