Seems like it should be a pretty straightforward install if you can get the old treads out without destroying them. You could always use cove moulding to cover up the space between the top of the riser and the nose of the tread if yo u damaged anything I would think. The girlfriend is hounding me about doing this so she is getting it as a gift for Valentines Day.

Good Morning every one far and near, A strange thing happened last week it would seem.
I had bought a new Tosh A05-S5804 lap top last fall as my old Dell was about to drive me nuts with how slow it ran. (When I press the send button it should have already been there)
I liked my new lap top but something was amiss, and as time went along it seemed to get a little slower which was agravating me to no end. The weather had gotten bad so aside from normal chore's work had ground to a halt also came up with a nagging cold that never really got bad but did not go away either.
I decided this was the time for a look under the hood and as I began to study up on this and get new ideas I was suddenly hit with my neighbors blasting snow drifts to feed cattle and breaking things. Life has now become complicated because even though I was glad to help my neighbors out I really had my mind set on fixing my slow computer.
So along with broken belts to whatever I found that my model of computer could not handle any more than 2 gigs of memory and dispite what a sales man will tell you, you cannot run Vista Home Premium on 2 gig of memory very well, and to think this dumb thing came out with 1 gig when I bought last fall but changed that right off.
I would say long story short (too late) that I found my model had a newer chip set in it then original which theoriticaly could take 4 gig but even with a bios upgrade I have been able so far to get this up to 3 gig now only by placing the memory chips in a given order, will not work if I put the 2 gig in the "A" slot. Yes you are correct, I have lost it but so far with just 1 more gig of memory and a 250 gig SATA drive freshly installed this machine is starting to match up to my exspectations.
I will have to give up for now as it is better, I feel as though I may have turbo charged the 6 cyl. for now but really want to drop a hot V-8 in the chassis as soon as I can get more bad weather to chase me inside. With thoughts of possible 2 gig dual core that may fit on my GM950 chip set along with getting that other 1 gig in has become my new passion for the next time I get chased inside.
Hope every one is having a great day and as for me I must go back to the salt mines.
