Where do you live, the Artic?

I've been there, done that. Especially when most of something is cured, but you hit that spot that is still tacky and ruin the whole thing... ARGH!

That does sound good! Looks like you are making some good progress, keep up the good work! Are you going to paint the whole truck that color?

Keep us posted, and don't be so tight with the pictures, we like to see your dent, it looks good!

Thanks guys. Man would I love to paint the whole truck that color. I wonder if I could buy that by the quart or so and have it professionally sprayed. I just don't know how well it would hold up, cause after all, it's just Rustoleum. What do you think?

I've painted my motorcycles with the rust-o-leum professional. It has held up for 8 years, but I keep it in the garage so it never deals with snow or freezing temperatures.

It sprays pretty good, just thin with mineral spirits.

And you see those guys all over the internet that ROLL the paint on. Seems to hold up fine for them too.

I think I'll do that then. I'll post some better pics after I'm completely done. I still have to wet sand everything and clear-coat. After the windows are uncovered you should be able to see the color better to.

Ok, well I've almost got everything wet sanded, should I bother with clear coat, or do you think it will be fine? Also I'm looking for paints for the exterior and was talked into some silvers by some friends instead of the jet black I wanted. Here are the 2 I'm lookin at. What do you think?

I would stick with black personally so I can't say between the two silvers.

Looks great, this is how I painted my dash.

It was a lot of work but it was worth it.

FREE... Wow I gave $800.00 for Effy and she was a rust bucket with a ready to blow engine. I have a new engine in her now with it all painted up, I will have to upload some pics soon.

I keep telling myself, I got a garage to keep it in out of the weather, I do not depend on it to get me to work everyday, so when its done, its done.

So good luck, and keep at it! I am not sure if you told us, but how did you get that truck for FREE?
I know what you mean by funding! I actually learned how to drive in this truck! My grandpa owned it and one day while I was down there helpin him out I noticed old green on a trailer headed out of town. I was pretty bummed about it. My grandpa told me he was sending it to scrap. When I returned home sure enough there it was sitting in my driveway!
