I would suspect a switch problem in your case, but I would use the shop manual to diagnose. Could also be the clockspring in the steering column.

Greg,

Do you have a part number that can be referenced when ordering one of these shop manuals? If i'm keeping this truck for a while, I'd like something to reference.

Thanks,

Kevin

check all of your running lights as well

and have you put any LED lights onto the truck?

alot of members have discovered that a burnt out bulb and/or LED lights cause a short in the system. This causes the CC to cut out

Man, I really love my truck, but this whole issue and the possible causes just makes it sound very fragile. When I hear the word truck, I think tough, durable vehicle. Good Grief!

All running lights seem operative and no LED's Tylus. Thanks.

I don't have a part number on the shop manuals, but Helms Publishing is the company that does them for Ford. I know a complete set isn't cheap, but if you plan on keeping the truck for a long time it's worth it. You might be able to get a Motor Repair manual for less money. The Helms manuals can be ordered directly online from them or you can get them from your dealer.
