I count 6 grease fittings on the front end of my truck. I don't want to miss any. Can anyone verify this number?

Thats what I came up with. All on the front end.

 

i have thirteen counting my front drive shaft...15 if you count the hub bearing ..but thats not a zerk...

 

That could be the difference in your 99 and my 02. I wish mine had more grease points than less. I would like to be sure that I am not missing any. I have look several times and six is all I have come up with.

 

we need a pic pointing them out from a 2wd and a 4wd.

i know mine doesn't have very many.

 

tie rods = 2
ball joints = 4
pitt arm = 1
front shaft = 1 rear shaft is one piece on my truck now
u joints = 4 or 6
centerlink = 1
not sure if I listed them all or not, or if the terminology is correct or not

stock ball joints have zerks?

 

That would be fantastic! Does anyone know if there is a model specific pic or diagram showing the number and location?

I dont know but the aftermarket ones in my truck do. Maybe I should have put in there your count may vary.

 

4 ball joints and yes all 4 have zerks..at least mine does..2 tie rods.. the drag link has 2.. 2 axle joints and 3 on the front drive shaft...

 

That is my count as well.

 

Are all 13 stock or aftermarket? My 02 only has 6.

 

The ball joint and u joint zerks are all after market, if you get the ones that have them anyway.

 

yeah, the u-joints i took out didn't have any. I made sure to get replacements that did.

I am pretty sure the ball joints on my trucks are the originals, and they do not have any either.
