Ready Lift Leveling Kits and CV's

I was looking at purchasing a leveling kit for my 06 supercrew. Has anyone had any luck with the following company 2004-2008 Ford F150 New Body 2wd & 4wd ReadyLift 3" Leveling Kit System
I want to lift the truck enough for 35's, more for look and not for off road. Has anyone had any problems with these leveling kits and the front CV's. I worried that it will eat CV axles. This is a daily driver so I don't want to have to worry bout working on it all the time. Looking for any input!!

Thanks!

I would NOT use this kind of lift, to achieve 3".... your CVs are going to be absolutely shredded in short order. 2.5" is the max that everyone else goes.. and the angle is pretty substantial with that size.

I, too, am researching a leveling kit for my '06 F150. I have heard great things about AutoSpring. The kits are very well made and affordable. I was looking at the 3"F/1"R Truxx kit, but the AutoSpring looks to be the better option.

eBay Store - AUTO SPRING KITS: Ford, Nissan, Chevy GM

They offer 2", 2.5" and 3" kits.

I thought 3" was the max you should go with this type of kit?

3" is the absolute max you should go...even with a 2.5" kit, the CV angles are pushing it

in terms of a daily driver though, the CV angles are moot. Your front axles don't turn at all unless the 4x4 is engaged.

I've had my 2.5" kit installed for over 1 yr now and the truck has logged quite a few 4x4 miles...not a problem to date.

For the money, you can get the same results as that 3" kit using AutoSpring stuff and come out at 1/2 the price. The 3" kit requires you change your front shocks out, and depending on which one it is, you put a spacer ontop of the coil-over, or inside it.

I highly recommend the AutoSpring 2" for the front, and 3" block for the rear. This will keep your truck at a slight rake, but overall lift it 2" to 2.5" for under $200
get the 2.5" if you want exactly leveled...but the truck will sit butt heavy if you carry a load

I Used The Set Up From Bildstien, 5100's, It Allows Clearance For 33 Not 35's. Good Thing About This Set Up Is That They Don't Use A Spacer In The Front, They Send You New Ones. Ride Is Alittle Stiff But Hell It Is A Truck. Happy Hunting. Don't Remember What I Paid

do one or the other

don't do the bilstien shocks + a spacer...all you will do is overtax your cv joints. those 2 together will give you 2" to 4" of added front height.

all you need really is a spacer. a nice 2.5" spacer (pick your brand) will do everything you want. the are roughly $70-80 shipped, and you can fit 35" tires without any other mods required...recommended, but they won't be required

I'm sorry zfisher, I totally did not mean to hijack your thread . I had the exact same questions as you. I hope Tylus has answered your questions! He sure did mine.

Looks like I will be getting the AS 2.5" spacer. I was dead-set on getting the Truxxx 3"F/1"R kit, but looks like the AS is all I need (daily driver, but don't ever planning on going bigger than 35s").

LOL thats the same auction I have been eyeballing all day! I even had that window open when you posted. Seems like a very affordable solution to a small lift. Let us know how it work out for ya

glad to have helped

if you want to retain some slight rake after the 2.5" install up front, I highly suggest this

AutoSprings Rear 1" lift blocks for F-150 4x4 - it's a 3" block that replaces your factory 2" block.

I've got them, and they are quality.
