Are you happy with your 6.0

Are you happy with your 6.0.

This is strictly about the engine, but if you want to list other issues or positives, please do so in a post.. Thank you

I can't vote because we're kindof indifferent...

There are things we hate about it, yet it hasn't let us down too badly yet.

Not to late to do that.

No motor repairs.
-Bad Instrument cluster
-Bad vacuum pump.
Both replaced under warranty.

An EGR valve, EGR & oil coolers, turbo actuator and intercooler hose clamps - All under warranty. Anything else has been mods or just truck stuff not related to the 6.0 diesel, like an auto hub problem.

It was 1 degree out almost a week ago. I had added Powerservice 2 days prior. I went out to start it, it cranked really slow for a second then fired up. I can't ask for anything more! Great engine! Just over 48,000 miles on it.

had a turbo go south. sat too long (year and a half or so?). didn't know enough about them at the time and was deployed when i bought it. don't blame the engine for that one, replaced under warranty.

has eaten front ball joints and a wheel bearing, along with an electric window motor (twice). wondering if the vibrations are due to the fact that the previous owner had a front end collision (didn't find that out until after i bought it, never did like that dealer, owner ain't real friendly, truthful, OR generous). it's at the dealer up here now for the same front end vibrations it's had since last spring.

just rolled 70K, have been happy with it, and even if it has had a few problems it's never let me down. if some of the problems are due to it having front end damage at one point, then i still really won't fault it.

I've put 21,000 miles on mine with only a leaking sensor repaired. I started with an 04 and had problems and ditched it for the 06. Big difference in the two trucks for only being 2 years apart.

I've got almost 60k miles on mine and I've had the EGR cooler and EGR valve replaced under warranty as well as a leaking bedplate seal. These were done without the truck really being symptomatic. I've really enjoyed the truck and with the minor mods, it tows like a champ. The only things I would change about the truck would be more low-end torque and better fuel economy....but I'll blame that on the worthless EPA!!!
