a word of caution to Moto Metal wheel owners
How many of you have the caps that use the 3 allen head bolts? Have any of you had any problems?
Just a suggestion - take those bolts out and put some anti - seize compound on the threads, if you haven't yet.
I had to get my tires rotated and guess what ?? Some of the bolts had seized into the metal - primarily on the front. According to Moto Metal the heat will occasionally do that. Of course nothing was suggested like that when I first put the wheels on.
I absolutely LOVE my wheels so I really don't want to find another type. However today I wound up drilling and tapping some new 6mm holes because those bolts were literally welded in place. Plus I had to replace 2 of the cover caps because I had to break them to get to the bolts - and they're $25.00 a pop !!
And Moto Metal will NOT warranty any problems that come from bolts you can't get out .... so just thought I'd pass that info along to y'all ...

Thanks for the heads up my Helo's have 6 allen heads on the center caps. I have the dealer rotate and ballance, but I will anti-sieze them myself. My dealer still hasn't even located the special key for my "dealer installed" locking lug nuts. I can imagine fighting with them over stuck center caps.
