Any Mercury truck is somewhat rare, especially a Panel.

Very true. I can't remember ever seeing one, and I live up here where they were sold. I did see a 54 on Kijiji last night. Hopefully he has more of it than what the picture shows.

Does it say FORD on the rear doors?

Thanks,
I looked at those pictures in the add and I seen Ford on the rear doors. If it was this one from the link that Bridgeford posted1954 Mercury Panel Truck - Manitoba Collector Cars For Sale - Kijiji Manitoba Canada.

That's what I thought. Wonder if it really is a Merc.

My old eyes don't see like they used to so I can't see anything written on the back doors of that 54. To show the badgeing on a 62 econoline here is a link to one for sale in Alberta. Not a panel, but close. The add line says ford but when you open it, it is a Merc.

I can't say for sure but I thought I read some where that the rear doors on the panels were from Ford and they used chrome badging that went over the embossed ford lettering.

That's what I was thinking but then again I have never seen one in person. I do however think the seat is cool as heck! It looks to fit correctly and I'd bet that was a Merc only seat as its different than the ford panel seat.

I also see a badge on the cowl that the fords did not have

I don't is the badge you're talking about Kevin, are you talking about that little white flag? If so my ford panel had that but I removed it to clean things up, my f600 cab has one too but would have to go see what's written on it to see what it says, can't remember off hand

Look below the rear doors glass. There's what appears to be a stainless trim covering the FORD letters. I'm sure the trim says MERCURY.

I didn't realize they had a trim plate for the rear doors. Of course it's not like you see them sitting in the back of every used car lot.

I bet they are really hard pieces to find if you need them...

Also I'm assuming the Ford emblem on the hood of the one 56panelford posted is an add-on?
