fixing a seperated window
i have a real nice front glass outta the 55 i parted out . it's only fault is that it is seperating . this glass still has the ford marks on it . my cuz wants to use it for his 53 and i was wondering if there is any way with heat and /or pressure , anything to cure the problem ? he's hesitant to use it because of the time and such he's putting in his and then have a " ugly window "

My windshield is bubbled too. In fact all of my glass is...except the back one which has been replaced.
I am not aware of any way to fix it. I think he will need to get a new windshield, if he cares about the separating.
The new ones for my 56 are $400 installed with a new gasket at a local glass shop. I would imaging the slant cabs are less.

well i could swear that i had read an article somewhere where the fella used a hairdryer and a bunch of old books for weight and heated it and set the weight on it . he had to do it a couple of times but it worked . i was gonna try it once with a 38 ford sedan that one of my employers had and i got running again , but he is / was like me once the brakes were switched over to juice and the flatty was running , well .................... so i may try this . i was hoping one of ya's had seen or heard of it and could verify it . i'll let you know , but don't wait up as it'll be added to the long a-- list of things to do ....
