Navigator Power Running Boards on an 03 Exp
Hello Guys and Gals,
I just purchased a super mint 2003 Exp Eddie B. Edition and I already have a list of mods that I am planning for it. One of them that I am currently considering if it is cost effective and I can do it myself is trying to bolt a set of the Navigator Power Running Boards- Can this or has it been done? How hard is it to do?
I would think since both truck are built on the same frame and basically are almost identical that this would almost be a Plug n Play mod- Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I agree they should bolt on fairly easily since the Expy and Navi use the same platform.
The problem will be powering/controlling them. Since the Expy never came with powered running boards, there won't be any plugs nor will there be a program in the GEM to control them. If you're better than a novice when it comes to automotive electrical, then you should be able to tap into the exterior courtesy lights to use as a signal that would control some relays to power the boards.
I'd be interested in how it turns out and how much it costs you. Good luck.
