2008 Ford Mustang FR500CJ Cobra Jet
Forty years after its debut, a legend of drag racing is back, these are really neat super cars:

Very nice, looks like it will live up to the legend of the old CJ, given the specs in the new version.
During the summer when I was checking out some of the rods, customs, vintage-resto's at outdoor shows I was thinking to myself, if I'm still kicking in 30 years and able to shuffle down to the car shows of 2038....will there just be vehicles from pre-1970 or so ?
Will there be any modern ( year 2000+ ) in shows, will any of the modern, current vehicles be deemed value enough to collect and keep in prisitne condition ?
I was thinking probably not a lot, but after reading this article, I'm changing my mind.
Vehicles like:
I also think that there will be the late '80's...early '90's Mustang 5 liter notchback and fastback . These 'Stang's have really occupied the niche, previously occupied by the '55-'56-'57 Chevies by those who want to build up a nice modern street rod.The small block 302 over the past 20 odd years has really become a performance engine and very popular at the strip, modified street versions...a real hot rodder's engine.
I would add this model of Mustang, possibly at the head of the class for the everyman's hot rod, now and possibly over the next 10-20-30 years.

Vehicles like:
- Bullit Mustang
- the new CJ described in your thread
- Dodge Challenger SRT8
- new Camaro SS 6.2 liter V8
- Ford Lightning pickup
- probably heavy duty Ford, GM and Dodge diesel pick up truck variants... some may question this choice as they are worker trucks, but I could see them being in the scene, many years from now, as they are highly valued , desirable vehicles, which many have modified and rodded. They are in the car (truck) collector consciousness.
- Corvettes
- Viper
- exotica like the newer Ford GT40
- late model retro style T-Birds
