Interior lights not coming on

I have a 2000 Explorer XLT whose interior lights don't turn on when the door is opened or door unlocked via remote. The lights over the mirrors also don't come on.
The lights do come on, however, when turned on using the interior light switches, i.e. switches over Rear view mirror or Cargo lamp switches.

Does the Explorer have a door lamp switch which could be the culprit?

Any help would be appreciated, as my wife works nights and needs to have those lights work.

Thanks

i think the switch is built into the door latch/ lock/ you might be able to spray thru a bolt hole, or down from the window area, but might have to take off the door panel. soak the lock area good from outside, and slam it a few times first.

Does it work off of any of the doors when they are opened?
