Red Spark Plugs...?

I did a tune-up on my truck the other night... and my old plugs were red. There was no deposits on them, but the "white" part thats in the clyinder was red. I've never seen this before, and searching google all I find is links to buy red spark plug wires... lol. Go figure.

So whats up? I've heard a long time ago its from using a lot of low quailty gas with a lot of additives....

I don't knw, so thats why I'm asking.

Thanks...

Jim

Side note, I did a complete tuneup with O2 sensor on my 88 f-150 with a 302efi. 2 wheel drive. I went from 9MPG to just under 17MPG. I'm liking it!

lead.... hummm.... I did run some of the gas I had left over from my demo derby this year in the truck..... it was 110 and they told me it was unleaded. but another gas station that sells 110 has it marked as leaded....

it was only about 5 gallons.

humm.
