New to the forum

Hey guys/gals,

I've had an f150 for awhile, just sold it and bought an f350. Ive always relied on information from a variety of forums to help me with any and all issues that have popped up over the years.

Anyhow, I thought I would go ahead and make an account so I can contribute if possible as I go through my ownership journey with my new purchase. Looking forward to great times ahead!

New guy.

Joined today. Have looked at this forum many a time. Usually when I'mtrying to diagnose a problem on my truck. Currently have a 97 f150 XLT 4x4, bought in 99 with 24,000 on the odometer. It has 267,000 now and i'm putting it back in use after many years of collecting moss. Also own a 96 bronco and 2000 ranger. Not totally a Ford nut just a truck lover. My collection if that's what you would call it includes 53&54 Chevy p/u, 39 Dodge and 65&66 gmc. As I said, i'm working on the 97 f150. Parked in 08 because of transmission problems, dealer had no idea what the problem was. The bronco started to act the same way a few months ago and while reading a forum, I found the problem. The TPS sensor. So I put a new one on the 97 and have driven it for approx 1 week 60 miles a day. Still have some issues to work out, and I like the idea of the forums to kick around some solution and tricks. I look forward to conversation with you folks in the future. It seems you can find better info here than the dealer. Y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Looks like the Old Guy is a New Guy, again!

So I retired in June and in July I found this Ol' '77 F250 4x. I was just looking for an old beater for knockin' around in, but as I dug into this one I found (besides 38 years of work truck rust) a low mileage remanufacurted 351m and a truck that could really be turned into something great. So here we go. A new journey begins...

'77 F250 4x4, 351m, restore in progress.

Ordered my F250 March 22 & took delivery of it June 4. It is a 6.2, 2 WD, standard cab. Notice that the Tonneau cover matches my Bronze Fire body.

Looking at a '06 6.0 with 63k. It is in NC, if it was yours let me know. This will be my first ford product and first diesel. I'm looking at a diesel for towing my camper possibly cross country.

My story is likely no different from most, I've read the forums and site for a couple years and the content is all top notch! It has been extremely helpful on many occasions.

I own several Ford trucks from brand new to a 1927 Model A (purchased by my grandfather). I also own several Ford tractors from early 1940's to late '70's. Presently I am restoring a 1969 F250 Crew Cab 4x4. It will likely be a long journey, but I am excited to begin and hope all the seasoned resto folks will help me along the way.

Nice to meet you all!

Needed a truck so I got a Ford and here I am.

2006 Ford F-150 Supercab 133" XLT 4WD

It came with 250,000 KM and a rebuilt transmission.

I know the previous owners son fairly well. One owner and I'm told that it was well maintained. Drives almost like new.

It will be my water hauler (pool and residential ) and camping.

Great to meet everyone! I'm not new Ford trucks, had a f150 250 k on it before I sold it.lm in construction and Realestate and we all know what happened with that for the last 10 yrs! So I put both trucks up for sale ( Chevy is the second one ) and the Ford is the only one anyone wanted! But I'm getting back in the game and got a lead on a f350 (1953 and thinking of restoring and use it for a form of marketing for my construction company( at least that's what I'm telling my wife)) I have a 1977 MGB and restoring a 1960 MGA and having a blast( a little$$$ tho)so my 350 will be able to work together with my British cars ,when they break down I can haul them with the 1953 f350 ) Is that a good truck to restore ? It's a 9 ft bed,and I'd really stand out at the town car shows and driving around town.I would not use it as a daily driver,it would be in my garage like the MG's and taken care of ( unlike my daily drivers that sit out in the snow

Turning over a new leaf.

Hello guys/gals. I've been lurking your site and many others for years now. In a sense stealing the knowledge and wisdom of numerous members on this site in order to fix my own problems. Not anymore. I feel it's time I did my part in helping other folks in need. Hence I'm turning over a new leaf.

I have had nearly 8 Super Duties from 1993-2008. Most were diesels. I currently have 3 now. 97 diesel, 99 triton and a 2006 gas.

I seen some interesting problems with theses rigs out in the bush while repairing heavy equipment. I'd like to share this knowledge as much as possible and learn new things along the way.
Thanks again.

Newbie

Thanks Krewat! Greetings to all! I have only been lurking for a few days! Liked what I saw and decided to join in!
A little about me and my Fords;
I bought a 2011 Ecoboost Fx4 in 2011 and traded it in on a F150 Lariat in 2014. If I do another trade, I think I may go for a F250 super duty! I drive a 2014 SD F350 at work with the 6.2 and really like it a lot!
Later!

Smile I'm new to FTE

I would like to introduce myself I am a new member and I joined to find a place where I can ask questions about my 1981Ford Bronco. It has a 300 straight 6 with a 4 speed manual transmission. I am mechanically inclined but don't have a lot of knowledge or correct terminology for some parts. The basics of mechanic's I'm good on and do most of the work myself such as breaks oil change and toon up's. I have rebuilt a couple of motor's but that has been many years ago.

Thank you FTE for having me in your forum.
