Hello everyone! Happy to have found this site a few months ago. Have posted a few times - mainly questions about potential trucks that I have yet to purchase. Just now getting around to introducing myself. I don't own a ford truck yet, but have been scouring ebay and craigslist (and the "for sale" sub forum here as well). Still looking for the right one at the right price.
I live in Livonia, a suburb of Detroit where many of your trucks were built. I work literally across the street from the Ford Wayne Assembly plant. If you own a 3rd through 9th generation F-Series, or a Bronco - it may have been built right here. I drive by the Dearborn Truck plant that built the 1-7, and 11, 12 generations of the F-Series. And every once in awhile, I'll go by the historic Highland Park plant that built F-series trucks from 1948 to 1956. Lot's of Ford history in the Detroit area for obvious reasons. If any of you have a reason to visit the area, you have to check out Greenfield Village and get a tour of the Dearborn/Rouge Steel plant. You'll be able to see how Henry Ford started and how FoMoCo continues today.
The wealth of knowledge on this forum amazes me, and I love looking at the build threads for the older Ford trucks. Looking forward to finally getting my first truck and posting on the site even more.

Long time owner of a 1984 6.9l that I love so much that I've successfully been able to talk myself into looking for an Excursion. Been "stealing" knowledge from this site for quite some time, so, decided it was time to join so that you would at least know when I was doing my thieving. All the info on this site has been VERY helpfull in my search for the perfect "new" diesel for me.

hey guys new here and new to ford trucks although not new to fords or trucks i grew up with my father and uncle running gmc's and rams and i spent my time in camaros and mustangs and i had a ram myself for a while and a few jeeps. but i always wanted an hd truck and when i sold my latest jeep to my brother in law i wanted to finally get a ford truck since i always like their looks but my family would talk me out of them. and i always wanted a HD truck i was originally looking for a new f-250 regular cab but around here most dealers only had them in white or red not really a big fan of either unless i went for a fully loaded model and thats out of my budget.
so i stepped foot on the local ford lot and this truck was sitting out front i was instantly drawn to the color i love blue trucks! and i like the thought of the fx4 package other then that its way over loaded for what i want im very simple. but my gf fell in love with the features lol. i originally just wanted a reg cab with 4x4 but i am very happy with this package. its a 2011 f-350 28k on the clock 6.2l( wantred a diesel but dont need it) fx4 4x4 CC LB lariat ultimate package. and just in time for all my summer projects around the house lol

I have been watching the site for a few months. Am just starting a restoration project on a 1967 F250 that has been in the family since it was new...only 82,690 miles as of today. I am not doing the work myself but have some mechanics and a body/paint man that my family has used for years who are very good at what they do and will be doing the work. I look forward to sharing the project as it evolves and expect to have plenty of questions for the experts out there in the group.

Hey y'all! There's a new little lady in the forum! I own a 2000 Excursion XLT 6.8L V10 that stands nearly 9ft tall
Glad to have found this awesome forum. I know the mechanics of my Tonka Toy, but will need some help with electronical issues & potential body work.

My name is Jeremy and I have an 04 powerstroke. currently having starting problems. It will crank over but wont fire. I have changed the fuel filters and used a shop vac to suck the upper fuel resevoir clean. the fuel pump is working fine and there are no trouble codes. Ant tips on what to check next?
