Two-tone paint
Line-X spray in bed liner (bed was scratched)

Sticker on the truck was $35,580, invoice was $32,622. I gave $24k for it with the bed liner.

I'm pretty happy.

That's the same deal I got for my '06, except my truck is black. I would have thought you would get a better deal the way things are now.

I played two different dealerships and it took 2 Saturdays to make a deal.
My strategy is to go in with a price you want to pay and then when they say we can't do that. Except the salespersons deal and then we you get to finance stick to your guns with a predetermined payment in mind and then threaten to walk if they can't make the deal. Trust me they will get where you want to be without loosing a sale.
You got a real sweat deal. I bought a 08 Mark LT as well last week. MSRP was $46,145 plus two dealer installed options (DIO) that totaled $500. I paid $30,395 which was $16,250 off MSRP/DIO. I was happy with my deal.

Anyone who does not have a plan of working several Dealerships against one another before they start their shopping just will not get the great deals that are out there. There will be a deal, yes, if you dicker with one dealer. But dicker with two or three and one Dealership will want to move a unit to get away from paying that banks loan with the heavy interest on the unit that he sells to a customer.

But times will change somewhat. I saw this morning on the business news where the 2009 F-150 is coming out lighter in weight and with "gas saving" devices. I guess that means less horsepower(?). So the F-150 will perhaps gain in marketability next year. But don't buy just because the prices are great now. You can always hold onto your old rig for a couple of years to let the market shake out.

I think a lot depends on the model, color and options you want. We are dealing with 08's here not 09's, so what is out there is what's out there. My local dealer has an 08 HOG w/Saleen blower, but right now I doubt he is coming off his $52k that they want. There were only two 08 Mark LT's within a 100 miles of my house. One was black which I didn't want the other was white chocolate which is the color I wanted. However that one had the grey interior and did not have the electronics package which I wanted. The dealer selling that one had a price of $15k off MSRP plus it had a factory liner and wheel locks which they were throwing in. I used their price against the dealer I purchased from and got them to give me the two dealer installed options at 1/2 off. Yes, have at least two dealers you are dealing with and play the truck you don't want against the one you do.
