Pensacola Diesel Inc.

I am looking at a place online that remans injectors for our trucks and I wanted some opinions on it. Pensacola Diesel inc is the name of it and they seem to have reasonable prices. Any one ever heard of em? Good? Bad? They arent too far from me and I figured I may be able to drive over there and have them do the work too if I get the parts from them.

Im looking at the injectors that they do the re-man process on them there. I have no clue what an injector even looks like, is it something that a smaller company like that could handle rebuilding correct?

I've always not to go with remans, but I also have no idea as I haven't done injectors. The way they seemed IMO that it would be fine. Try calling them and asking if they rebuild themselves or if someone does it for them. Someone else should chime in and give a definative answer.

a few people have had back luck with remans, such as kwikkordead.

Rochester fuel has NEW Alliant injectors for $232 each, cheapest price i could find when i was looking for one.

edit, i guess thats the same price pensacola has them for, but i remember them being more expensive in the past

Haha my fault. What injector are you replacing? Didn't know if you were replacing the LL (long lead) injector in #8 (cylinder 8). They had a different injector in late 99 - 03's. Guess i should just asked the first question in this reply lol

I've heard mixed reviews on the Pensacola Diesel stuff... you might dig around the forums some and see if you can find any info. IIRC, they farm their injector work out and the track record is less than stellar. If you want rebuilts, I'd suggest Ryan Casserly, Bean's, or one of the other reputable builders.
