2000 Excursion V10 exhaust manifold

More then likely the bolt heads broke off, quite common on these trucks. Hopefully they can get the broken off bolts out easily enough.
I know some V8's had issues with cracking manifolds (expeditions I think?) but have yet to hear of it on a V10 personally. Go see if all the bolt heads are visible on your manifolds.

Exhaust Studs Broke Off
I just went out and did a quick check and I found 2 on the rt. side broke off.
Havent gone under to see if there are others. Do any of You folks know what it cost on average to remove one at a shop or dealer. The 2 I found are right in the area of the rt. frt. shock. What was there problem with the studs they used? Is there any call back on them? Please Help.
