Got 2 new problems Alt and Water Pump

Ok so I took the truck into auto to check the Batts because I have had to Jump start the truck twice this week and the machine said I had a bad Alt so I have seen a few members here with Chrome alts and I was wondering where you guys are getting yours because I think they look sick. Ok second part while I was looking I saw Green drops coming down and it looks like its coming form the water pump? Is this a common thing or am I way off on this?
Thanks for the help guys
Nick

Here is the link for the shiny new alternator. http://www.db-starter-alternator.com/

Does it seem like the antifreeze is coming from the weephole?

I think your two problems are connected.

with the serpentine belt.

I would confirm that the alternator is bad before buying a new one. does it put out 14 volts? could also just be a poor connection.

Look at the hoses first Nick. Try and see if you can see where it is leaking from. There is a weephole that "tells" you that the water pump is going south.

If its the water pump weep, it should be dripping down the side of the crank pulley and gathering on the lip of the oil pan.

We tried 3 different machines and they all said the Alt was bad and before I did that I snugged up all the bolts.

O boy that sounds fun!! Next weekend is going to be a big weekend. I have a water pump to replace, an alt, and I am helping my buddy with a 95 7.3 rebuild his turbo. My weekend will be anything but slow. I thought I saw some one post a You tube video of a guy replacing a water pump any one have that link?
