rebuild or build up

If there are any good books covering the issues with rebuilding i could use the titles. I see there are a lot of them out there just wondering if some are a waste of time or not. i have a 78 F-150 4x4 with a 351M which i am going to replace with a rebuilt 351M or built up 4??

The 351m is just a destroked 400. They have the same bore. Your 351 can be made into a 400 very easily with a 400 crank and pistons. Has been done many times and you will find lots of info on it in this forum. Just search 351m to 400. Here is a link to a couple essential books IMHO.
