I would do it but I have my own car club to tend to, along with racing and being president with the Auto club at the college I am currently attending. I am too busy to take this position right now. Maybe later down the road I can apply for this position when I have the time to devote.

George,
This Chapter is pretty dead. I would love to get this going but as you know I am having back surgery on November 21st. I am hoping this time (3rd in 3years) they will fix it and I can get on with a semi-normal life. I will let you know as soon as I get back on feet and we shall chat about this position if someone doesn't step up before then.
I see there are a few that may concider the job, but are too busy..
Let me tell ya being CL isn't that difficult... I probably spend 1/2hr more on CL stuff per day than my regular FTE activities..
I check the CL threads for any news.. Respond if I need to.
Then check for any new member requests and take care of those if there are any..
I make sure I am at all the monthly GTG's , but that is just me..
I also browse around for new members in threads and invite them to join..
I do maintain a list of members to the chapter, but that is just entering new members when they join..
So hopefully you see that it isn't very time consuming and will reconcider..
Just remember you can take on the job and try it out for yourself.
If it is to much then just say so..
There has to be a figure head for the chapter to keep things going..

Don pretty much covered it. We started out pretty slow in Nebraska, we had no get togethers the first year or so, then three last year, this year I'm planning on having one every other month.
Another thing a CL does is keep the forum active, posting topics of interest to draw members out to post.
I am volunteering my services to act as the Mn Chapter Leader. If I am chosen I will do my best to get this Chapter rolling.
Great to hear Tom..
You will find it's not that hard..
Good luck in your efforts to get things rolling..

Lets make this interesting by someone else either volunteering or feel free to nominate someone as well. I would rather make it a race rather than just getting the position because no one cares.
