E150 Hot Rod

Hi all, I have a '86 model E150 that I am wanting to make into a little hot rod. The van presently has a 300 six cylinder and a 4 speed stick in it. The old girl is in great shape but the motor is going to need some work due to age. My plans are to install a modified 302 and a AOD transmission. What I need to know is does someone make a lowering kit for my van such as the dropped beams for the F150? She is setting at a good height now but I am afraid that V8 springs will raise her up to much for my liking. I am also interested in installing some new rear leafs due to the 22 years on the OEM's which will more than likely raise the rear as well. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks
Scott

i am not sure about the drop kit but for either the front or rear springs you could go to a spring shop and have some custom built to handle the weight you need and give you the height that you want. just a warning on the aod trani. make usrethe kickdown cable otherwise known as the tv cable is adjusted corectly after installation as if it is not you could destore the trani. i speak from experience on that one. good luck i think a hot rod van is a great idea. what kind of exhaust arey ou gong to be running? I just put a dual setup with cherry bomds on mine and it sounds great. the local cops and neighbors dont think so but it does . lol

That old 300 powerplant was a great workhorse. Be sure to post it for sale here on FTE classified if you're selling it.
