S&B intake and Banks exhaust chk eng light

Hello all,

I had a check engine light this weekend and took it to the dealer today. The tech was pretty cool as he came and talked to me on the side. He showed me the two codes that I had, one was an intake and the other was DPF flow(I didn't take note of the P codes). In the instructions it told him to look for aftermarket intake and exhaust.

I have the Banks single DPF back and S&B intake.... I understood that the S&B was not supposed to throw codes and the Banks cant' flow much better than stock.

I was told by the "Ford Salesman" intake and DPF back was ok. (I know, I know, don't laugh.... I don't trust car salesmen either)

Has anyone else experienced this?

Chuck

I have the same banks set up on my truck and have no CEL. I am almost positive its going to be the S&B intake. When I had the ProGuard 7 intake I threw the CEL. Now I have the Banks intake and exhuaust with no problems what so ever!

Banks Intake & Exhaust

I have had the intake and exhaust for 4000 miles; no codes, no problems.
