Painted my Grill

Does this look cheap, or do you think this looks good? I pulled the grill and used some Duplicolor chrome spray paint to see if that would make the truck look better.

The new tow hooks are courtesy of Austin. Thanks.

I think it looks great. Did you sand the grill, tell us more how you did it.

I think it looks a lot better than the factory color.

Good job, it still has that factory look, but it seams as if you got the "Chrome Package" from the factory.

I pulled the grill and blue oval, used some 200 grit sand paper to rough the plastic up, then wiped it down really well with acetone. Taped off the factory chrome part and made that lazy bum (F350-6) paint it. We did 3 coats of Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter, then 2 very light coats of Duplicolor Chrome, and 2 more light to medium coats of the chrome. It took just over 1 can of the chrome spray paint to get the 4 coats.

You know, I thought about doing that but didn't know how it would look. So I bought a factory chrome grill off Ebay. Live and learn I guess! It looks great, good job Pink!

Looks good! I had also thought about getting the chrome one off of ebay but I just got a whole new billet style one instead.

I was a little scared too, but I figured I could always just buy a grill if this didn't work out. What would I do with the old one anyway? For $15 I think it turned out pretty well.

Edit: I'm waiting to see what that 650 dash looks like in Tan. Any idea when I can expect some pics?

Funny you should ask, I just put it in tonight, along with an Autometer Z-series Voltage and Air gauges inside the panel. No Carling switches yet though. Brandon and I agreed that we will post pics when they are completely done with both trucks.
