Banks EconoMind

Anybody get the postcard in the mail today from Banks? I got one for the Off-Road Expo / RIVA's California RV Show.

On the front they are introducing the EconoMind. There is nothing on their website about this. Anybody heard anything? Will this be for the 6.4? I'd seriously look into that widget if it could boost my MPGs.

Also, Banks' site no longer has their tuner / programmer for the 6.4. Did that get pulled from the market? I could have sworn that I saw ads for it in the last issue of Diesel Power.

So nothing more than a press release?

In the software biz, we call this vaporware . . .

Thats funny. I am sure the economind is not for the 08 model yet. it took Banks forever to get a chip out so this is down the road too.

That short ad is not saying what models or even brands it is for yet. I see the software (print ad) is here I want the hardware! If the hardware can do what the ad claims and I don't have to fiddle with my DPF I'll be a beta tester! Obviously somethings is in the pipeline for the '08 Superdutys. JBarker has made that comment.

That sure is a fancy flow measurement device shown in the ad. I wish my trucks computer would be accurate down to .000003 gallons!

Here's the fuel measuring device we use to verify the fuel consumption rate. The Economind system will be ready for the 6.4L in a few weeks. The average mileage gain on these tuners ranges between 10%-20%. I'll keep you posted on the release date.
