As a followup,
After removing the 4 screws beneath the screen, the unit is held in place by 4 clips and 2 hooks on the forward vehicle side. All you have to do is pull down hard on the rear of the unit and the clips will pop out, then swivel down toward the front of the vehicle and the whole unit will come off.
Hopefully that helps someone in the future.

I had posted this a few months ago as I needed to tear it down, desolder, then resolder a new jack onto the AUX piece of the unit. We thought it was something still holding it, but the clips thing is real. We couldn't get it, so we took it to Precision Audio of Bainbridge, GA, where I have a buddy or two that said they'd look no charge. Well long story short, he was literally doing pull ups with that thing before it finally pulled free of those clips. Nothing was broken. I was amazed at the shear amount of force that took. He said that wasn't the first time he's had to do that to get a dvd unit off the roof. They really make those to never fall off lol.
