I prefer resurrecting an old thread instead of starting another one. It keeps the information in one place that is easier to find.

A buddy has a vinyl/snap-on cover on his truck and I think it looks great. His 56 is old school; baby moons, chrome reverse rims, black on black, 351C, etc...so the cover fits his style nicely. Maybe not so much for mine...to each their own.

I believe in reviving old threads too. Too keep things in one place I'll repost this here from another thread on this same forum.

Added a tonneau cover from CRAFT COVERS They didn't list the '66 Shortbed on their website, but I called and gave them dimensions and they said they will start to list this model now, so future customers will not have to take measurements for this model. I picked them because they sold the least expensive covers I could find, but I was surprised at the high quality parts. Everything is very solid and made in the USA. I got the standard vinyl which seems high quality but there are upgrades available as well. Very good value, and they do not pay me to say it . . .

Mark, this is the 1948-56 Forum, not the 1961-66 Forum.

I am in process however with summer weather I try to play as much as possible. I purchased a new Truxedo Velcro fastened soft cover that I cut down the frame and made a mount system using the stake pockets. I need to reinstall the frame and take the truck to a friend that does upolstory to fabricate a cut down cover. I will post pix when I complete it

Yikes, sorry. I did a search for "tonneau covers" a few weeks ago before I got one, and it came up in the search results. Did not realize it was categorized under 48-56.

I have a black vinyl cover with snaps on my F-1. Like it a lot. It's been on there for 3-4 years and has held up really well.
Unlike the hard covers, I can roll it up or remove it in a couple of minutes if needed.
