Need drawings...

I have seen old copies of pictures taken from books I think salesmen used to use that show straight on perspective line drawings of side, front and rear views of older Ford trucks. If anyone has copies or graphic files of these type drawings for the '53, '54, '55 Ford F-series trucks I would like to get them. Even straight-on digital camera pictures will work so long as there is little or no angular distortion. I want to use them to create wire frame models for a 3-D rendering and modeling program.

If I can generate these graphics I will freelyn distribute them here on the forum.

One other thing... I know this is a bit off topic for this forum but I am also looking for the same type drawings of the '61-'67 series of Econoline cargo van. Any help or leads on this would be greatly appreciated.

Later Folks...

I'll be getting in and around our old Falcon Econoline van here in the next few weeks.

I could give some photos, if needed.

Yeah!!! That's what I need. Many thanks... I have already set up a shotcut on my desktop to that site. For some reason they don't show a front view so I will have to keep searching but it's a really good start. I guess I'm two-thirds of the way there. The frame stuff was an unexpected bonus.

That would probabkly help as i could do overlays to make the wire frames for the modeler program. Now if I can just find an old van body that's not too bad. Thanks.

Actually I have an old Amiga system withy LightWave I used to use in my video post production studio that is now outdated but it still has great 3-D rendering capabilities and I remember a few things about how to run it. I remember being able to overlay a 2-D line drawing to create a view axis. It will take a while but I think I can recall enough to get it done if I take my time The great thing is that it will creat high quality animations and renderings. I'st the system they used to create all the stuff you may have seen on the old Babylon 5 Sc-Fi series. I had about 18k invested in it and its brobably wouth about 500 now. Cheaper to keep it...

I was kind of kidding about the van but you never know. I suspect it's a window van because you said Falcon Econoline. But pictures will still help. Thanks...

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page Randy linked too...

There are some front views (minus the cab part) of the trucks.

It's possible but It won't be fast as I have to recall a lot. But you may be right as LightWave renderings were compatible with a lot of other formats.
