I am looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers or Toyo Open Country AT's as well
considering the 305/70R17 and Discount Tire has the Nittos for $250 each
The Open Country's are on a national backorder or so I was told by a local Discount Tire saleman.
Also conidering the Yokahama Geolander AT they are about $155 each
I can't believe $450 per tire(what size)?

I put a set of 285/75-16 load range E Nitto Tarra Grapplers on my 04 about 2000 miles ago. So far, I like them. I paid Discount Tire $704 for 4 of them to my door. For $133 each, you must be looking at load range D's. They balanced up real nice. The heviest wheel weight I used was 1.75 ounces. They are 8 to 10 points softer on the Durometer than the BFG Rugged Trail's that were replaced. With the softer rubber I may not see the milage out of them, but so far the wet weather traction has been great. We have not had any snow here in New York, so I can not anwser that question. I do not know if they are made by Toyo, but they are made in Japan.

I just put 295/70/17 Terra Grapplers on my 05 250. Discount tire direct on ebay gave me an AWSOME deal, about $715 for 4 with free shipping. I only have about 1500 miles on them, so far so good. And they're as quiet as the Bridgestone Duelers that they replaced, ride better too, but that's probably due to the taller side wall and lower weight rating.
