Oil Pressure Guage Question

Where is a good place to hook up an oil pressure gauge line on the 6.4. On my 02 7.3 I was able to connect it to the housing that the oil filter screwed on to. Thanks.

I am not sure but it is probably one of the things the computer is already tracking but not telling you about. Look for a module that does this. Anyone know if the Edge tracks this?

I've got the edge monitor and it doesn't show presure. It will show oil temps but not pressure.

Thanks, I wasn't sure about that either but I would be surprised if this thing doesn't watch pressure too.

They just use a switch, they usually close at around 10 PSI and make the gauge go about halfway. Some newer vehicles are fancy and have the computer controlled dashboard, and will make the oil gauge go up as engine revs increase. It has no relation to actual oil pressure though.

This is what I have been told. There is no oil pressure readings on the 6.4L, just a 7psi switch.
