Solid Axle Spyntec Hub Conversion Installed
Hi all,
I got the Solid Axle Spyntec Hub Conversion kit installed. It was problematic and worked with the guys at Solid. This is new and they are taking info from me to make changes in the install and parts. There was some grinding and cutting that was not antisipated. Had to take the axles to a shop and have the u-jonts removed. They had a time of it. Took 2 hours. They assembled the new u-joints and 35 spline stub shafts for my and centered them. I have pictures that I will post soon. Maybe by the weekend.

Spyntec Conversion
What is this Spyntec hub conversion all about? Please tell me more, I'm curious...
The kit includes a new 35 spline stub shaft a D60 Universal Joint.
I got 125,000 miles on my originals and replaced them last November. I replaced the again this past May and I needed to replace them again when I opted to convert them 2 weeks ago.

I was going with Dynatrac Free Spin first and when ordering, the company switched from the Free Spin to the Spyntec. Since the Solid Axle Spyntec is newer, there were some issues with the install, but am working with Solid Axle to help the make changes to make the kit as easy as possible. It was the same price as the Dynatrac but included the D60 U-Joints that were extra from Dynatrac and had free shipping next day.

Wow! Why are they going out so quickly? Your truck looks pretty much stock in the tire/wheel arena. I have 160,000+ on my original set. Not saying they wont go bad tomorrow but still.....
