one other quick question....can/could this unit be used to play video? does it read DVD's or have a hookup for a player?

You did exactly what i want to do. Have the exact same truck and year except its a King Ranch. One question- my rear cargo area behind my CC seat looks much different than the one in your picture. Was there anything else involved in mounting the Sub or did you simply cut a hole and wire it??

Did you have to install a GPS antenna? Or is it built into the radio. Also, do your steering wheel controls work with the new radio?

I just bought on and I get the unit to turn on for 10 seconds and shuts off mine is a xlt is there a wiring difference in ur lariat did u plug in all 3 connectors

 

When you installed this in your truck was it virtually plug and play? Did you have steering wheel controls in your truck? Did they work after installation? Thanks,

 

OK guys, doing the same thing and when I turn on the unit, it powers up, displays the Ford logo and has acquired the correct time, but then powers down. Wondering if there is a needed jumper, power or ground I'm missing? Any help would be appreciated!
