Does anyone have a diagram of safe jack stand locations on a 99 F-250 4x4 V10? I realize this sounds kind of an obvious (total noob) question, I'm thinking to just put them just under the rails - front and back.

I'll be jacking the rig up at the appropriate points on the rig - but I need to place a jack stand at other locations so I can do some brake work.

If you are working the brakes, you can place the stand under the axles at the corners below the leaf springs.


If you need to hang the suspension, in the front you can use the frame rail right behind the front leaf spring. In the rear either the frame or the hitch.

Otherwise jack the axle up and place your jack stands under there. If you try and jack the frame, you'll need a jack with a lot of travel to accommodate the suspension.
