yes both sides, that had me wondering also and the original poster told me to do both
i did and it worked fine!!

Well I went by the Ford dealer and bought a new switch. That was my problem the whole time. Now I just need to open the mirrors up and swap the wires around. My left one the up/down is backwards and the right one is left/right backwards. Thanks for the help. Mike

BN/YW. To be sure just look at the connector from the mirror and see what's connected to pin #6 on the truck side...that's the mirror heat.

Isn't that nuts! You can get a bed for 3500 but mirrors cost a grand. The tailgate with the sd stamped in it is almost 800

here is the wiring diagram
The wire is listed as BN-YE so it will be Brown and Yellow, most likely Brown with a thinner Yellow stripe. What you cant see from this diagram is that the same BN-YE wire runs from the battery junction box all the way to the mirror. Hope this helps.
