Ok so yesterday my parents gave me money for my birthday for a leveling kit. I thinking im going to go with the 3 inch front spacers and add a leaf in the back. Well my question is here the add a leaf all the ones I see have a center bolts and no clips. Shouldnt they come with new clips to accomidate for the new leaf spring? I was asking my buddy on what to do cause I never did it and he has some experience in this. But I just wana see what you guys have to say. Need help. Thanks guys in advance

I have not put an add a leaf in my truck yet, but need to. I installed the nct 2.5" level kit in the front and now the truck sits 1/2" too high in the front empty. wish I had some info for you.

ya I have been looking around and found a kit 3 inch aluminum spacer for up front and then it has the rear add a leaf. I ended up buying the two seperate cause its cheaper. Had to buy it from two different companies but the same exact parts. So we will see cant wait to put them on.

the 3" is way to much for these trucks. it places a huge angle on the cv joint

yes, cancel that order. do a search for cv angle shots with the 2.5"

the 2.5" puts the angle pretty wicked IMO. but since I don't spend alot of time offroad, it's acceptable. that extra .5" of angle is pretty extreme.

also, the 2.5" puts most trucks dead level, and some even go nose high. I know this isn't a concern since you are adding an AAL, but it's another thing to consider

if it's too late, then so be it. you can always guinea pig it for us

I got bored (it's a slow night out here) and went took pics of my CV joints with the 2.5" installed.

I didn't snap pics of the OEM angle before the install, so I drew a little green line to simulate the OEM angle. Hope it makes sense what I'm trying to get across.

As I said, the 2.5" kit puts the cv angles at a pretty good angle, but IMO it's fine for normal 4x4. Between the extra .5" of angle and the nose high characterisist, I think the 3" is too much.

I installed the 2" leveling kit up front and it went nose high. I installed the AAL in back and now it's just right. Just beware of the leveling kits. Mine ended up about 1/2" higher up front than was supposed to end up. In my opinion anything bigger than 2" is too high. If I hadn't planned on the AAL, I would've probably prefered a 1.5" kit up front.
