paint chips

Ok so I noticed a while back that around my gas door the paint was bubbling. Well it never really hit me to fix it cause it was just bubbling it wasnt peeling. Well I went through the car wash and a piece came off. You couldnt notice it really unless the door was open. Well I washed my truck today and its bigger now. You can now notice it with the door closed and looks like crap. This truck is an 04. Has anyone experienced this now and what should I do. Should I just put some clear paint on it and maybe put one of them chrome door covers on it. Or will that look stupid. My truck is dark blue.

If you just put a chrome cover on it, it will be even MORE noticeable because the chrome will draw your attention to that area. Touch up paint followed by clearcoat is really the only fix.

Don't paint over rust. Wet sand and prime it first.

No man, when you need info it's SMART to ask. We all could use help at times, and there is always someone here willing to try to give that help.
