Thumbs down today is a sad day 4 me

I don't know if any of you remember that i still had an oil leak after doing my up pipes, well i finaly tracked down the leak...hmmmmmmmmmm well the block has a hail line crack above the starter that runs horizontaly approx 6 in long ....I have to tell ya this truck is bout to be JB welded n sold.... Can you tell that I'm upset..... I guess i'll be lookin 4 a newer truck

Are you positive that is where the oil is coming from? That seems kinda rare, if it is I feel for you man. If thats it what about a new block?

Probaly another psd 00-03 reg cab long box 250-350? just bought an excursion for the wife,, now this aghhhhhhhh

That sucks Sam. I am with Jason, what about a new block. Its cheaper than a new truck.

Absoulutly where its coming from as soon as i remember how to post pics i'll get some up i cleaned the motor looking to see where the oil was coming from started her up an bingo there it is staring me in the face

I guess i could look into that but i still would have a high milege truck...with a ton of work to switch it around ...I guess i'm just venting right now but i'm frustrated to say the least

sorry to hear that...i have seen blocks get welded before because of cracks...a big truck i use to drive had a welded block in it....show us some pix..
