Memories of being 21

Well, today at 7:20 i officialy turned 21! I guess that makes me an adult, or at least now I can be charged as an adult hahaha. Everyone I know thinks it is a big deal, but I dont think it is because Ive been drinking for years now and i dont see how its gonna feel any different. All my buddys wanna go bar hopping and get trashed, but I dont see the big deal with doing that anymore. Once in a while its fun but not all the time. Besides, if I get into trouble I can loose my truck license for the firehouse and that would not be fun! I think tonight Im gonna get some beer and relax at the girlfriends house and have my own little party. Plus, im going camping for the rest of the week(paid vacation is AWESOME!!!!!) and i can have fun there.

Anyways, how did the rest of you spend your 21st birthday(if you can remember)? Post anything; funny, embarrassing or dumb. Bring back some good memories of being young and dumb. Later yall!!

Things are different in canada, in some places you can be 18 to buy beer, some 19, and isnt that what officially makes you an adult?

Happy B day dude! My 21st was a few years ago now, but I did exactly what your buddies wanted to do, I went and got all trashed up, and seen what kinda trash I could take home haha.

Oh the "good ol days"

For my 21st my parents just took me to a local bar. My whole family, my friends, and some of their parents came up. It was a blast, I had about 50 people up there buying me drinks...

Since I've turned 21 though, there have only been about 4-5 times when I've gone out and gotten totally hammered. Most of the time I just like to have a few brews and chill.

The night before my 21st I was driving around with a buddy. We decided that we would go get some beer as soon as it turned midnight. Drove all over town and couldn't find any place open. Oh well. Brew my own now.

the cool thing about being legal to drink is not running from the cops during a raid on a party/bar, just sit there and keep on drinking.

on my 21st, we loaded up in my moms burb , had a DD and hit about 10 bars

I had gone out with my cousins for my 21st. It was all right I guess. Not a big deal.

But when my buddy turned 21 a couple months after, he was the youngest of all our buddies, so we were all old enough to go to an American bar. So we went to a bar in Point Roberts WA and proceeded to get liquored. They were having a bike show that weekend too, so lots of nice bikes to look at.

the day of my 21st was spent on patrol with an m60 in my hands, needless to say it was a sober one! happy 21st, seems you may be on the right frame of mind. all 21 means is that you can now show the world you cant handle your liqour legally. if you wanna lay low and enjoy it the way you described, well congrats you are well on your way in the maturing process. keep up the good work. For me it was 1955. I was in the Army, broke and didn't have a pass to get off base. After a usual day in the RADAR unit, I had some chow, played some pool and read a book ..... exciting day.

My 21st was way too long ago. Congrats on the milestone though and enjoy the rest of the journey. For me getting a drink wasn't a problem before being 21 and actually never got carded until after I was 21.

That was 9 years ago for me. A Saturday. Unloaded a truck of feed. Went to supper at a steak house. I didn't drink anything containing alcohol. Well on the way to supper there was a drunk driver that we ended up calling the police on.

And my wife (gf at the time... Thought didn't spend the weekend with me. She went with her family to visit other friends... I was not a happy camper. I wouldn't let her live that down for a long time.)
