Newbee.......hello

Hi, I just found this forum a short time ago and think it is great, a LOT of information here. I have a 2005 F150 that I bought new and now it has 25,000 miles on it. I would like to see a little better mileage on it so I am considering about installing a hydrogen generator on it, has anyone ever done this?

I will need an Efie and a OBDII scan tool. On Ebay there are a lot of Efie for sale and trying to get the right one is a challenge for me, maybe someone on here can help. Does my truck (5.4) have one or two 02 sensors on it? Also does it have a Map or Maf sensor on it? Some of the Efie has two controls on them and I would like to get the correct one, anyone have any experience using them that could guide me in the right direction?

I will also need a OBDII scan tool, there are a lot of those for sale on Ebay, which one would you recommend and what would be a fair price to pay for it?

Any and all answers will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and have a Blessed day,
Wade

1. HHO crap doesn't work
2. what is a Efie?
3. what does a OBDII tool do for the HHO system
4. all Fords since 1997 are MAF system. SD systems are gone
5. 2 O2 sensors

I bought my OBDII scanner for $49 shipped on eBay. It reads all 5 OBDII protocols, live data reads, and pulls codes. The F-150 is a CAN-Bus protocol. So make sure to buy any OBDII scanner that supports the CAN-Bus Protocol. They all work the same way otherwise

HHO is a useless system that doesn't work and is just a waste of your money.

Good luck, and welcome

The only Efie's I know are the 1950s F-1s... Tylus hit correct on all the points. Any Can bus scanner will pull the PT codes. We would all like better fuel economy.

Anywho, welcome to the forum. Lots a great info. Do a search first if you have an issue. Changes are, most of your questions will have already been answered...

I have been researching this as well, I have a 2006 F150 4.6 V8. EFIE stands for - Electronic Fuel Injection Enhancement. To your question a site you can go to is www.fuelsaver-mpg.com, this is the electronic solution, I have also come across a mechanical solution, and it is at this site -www.protiumfuelsystems.com/oxyisolator.html. To be honest, I think I am going to try the HHO solution and see if it helps improve my MPG, I'll post my results.
