Glass Shop
Hello Everyone,
I've been fairly quiet on the list but thats because the trucks been running like a top! Knock Wood!
Tomorrow is a big day for me, I'm taking the truck to the glass shop. This will be the first work anyone else has done on it. I am getting the windshield removed and a new gasket installed and both the PS door glass and vent glass replaced. They were cracked when I got the truck and finally talked the boss into letting me get them replaced. (crack goes the whip)
They hope to not crack the windshield but if they do they will replace it as well.
I will start in the fall at the local night school body class working on getting the body into shape and possibly by this time next year ---Paint!
Take care everyone.

These classes are held at the local high school vo tech. I have taken them on and off since 1994 when I restored my 1961 Metropolitan. You have all the tools you need a paint booth, most of the metal, primer etc. The instructor is a great guy who dives right in and shows you how to do it. In 1994 it cost $150 for the 10 week course, now in 2008 its up to $350. But I still feel its a good deal all in all.
