explorer ac compressor problem

my 2000 explorer has only 15000 miles but after returning it twice to the dealer i'm still having a problem with the compressor clutch engaging every 15 to 30 seconds. i understand this may be "normal", but the loud clicking noise i hear each time this happens is getting very annoying (even at 70 mph on the interstate)-
can anyone offer any reason or solution to this problem and what i should have the dealer do? (he already replace the low pressure switch and supposidly checking the gap setting on the clutch, although i suspect it may not of been done)-
thanks....

I have heard some clutches on Ford compressors clack on engagement at idles speeds, such that you could hear it plainly at idle in the cab with windows up an fan on. Then on another try, they may be quiet. I'm surprised you can hear yours at 70 mph, that must be a BIG CLACK!
Changing the A/C clutch cycling pressure switch is a 5 min. job, thats probably why they did that. That pressure switch just determines at what system pressure the compressor clutch gets turned on or off. If they really did check the clutch gap, I'd be doubtful too if they really did, then maybe a replacement clutch is in order.

thanks for the suggestion-
as the a/c works & blows cold it's hard to make a strong argument, but the noise is very annoying.
