Thumping when I steer all the way in each direction???

I've got a 03 f-250 6.0 and I've noticed when I steer while moving all the way in ether direction I three of four thumps for every rotation o fthe tires. Any ideas? I've already replaced the ball joints and brakes at 65K miles and now I've got 80K. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

Is it a 4x4? If so, check to make sure your lockouts aren't stuck.

It is 4x4, I'll check the hubs as soon as I get off of work.

Your hubs are locked, OR - the needle bearing inside the wheel bearing where the axle stub rides has dried up and locked to the axle.

Let us know what it turns out to be

Will do, I sure hope it's something simple, this truck has really been a nightmare with a new problem every few months

HUBS! that was the problem, I put them back and forth through lock and auto and put the truck into 4 high and back to 2wd a few times on a short drive and now no noise! Thanks for the tips guys, this forum is great!
