need opinions?

i have a 97 crew cab 4x4 auto, i have a tony wildman chip, the filter mod, down pipe and exhaust and a methonal injection kit, i am pulling my injectors tommorrow to send to diy for an upgrade, should i go with stage 1's or 2's. i don't pull much with the truck just mainly a daily driver. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks

Welcome to

If these are the "only" mods you plan on doing to the truck, Stage 1's might be overkill. You might consider having the injectors extrude-honed to clean them up and smooth them out.

If you're planning on more, serious mods, bigger turbo, etc, Stage 1's should be about right. I don't have, and I don't plan on, a lot of mods to my truck, so my stock injectors are just fine. I tow a 24' travel trailer and am impressed with the performance I see in a mostly stock engine.

With over $5 a gallon I would go with 1s but with my PMS I would go with 2s. With 2s you will need a HPOP and a intercooler would be a good investment too. Oh and you need guages no matter what. Good luck.

A lot of people gets ones and end up wishing they would have got the twos. If you can spare the cash I'd go with the twos.

might want to have your chip reburned as well. 2's might need a little help in the EGT dept, so i'd do an intercooler as well.
other than that, watch your trans temp closely. you might want to accompany the twos with a trucool max 40k gvwr tranny cooler, as well as a shift kit.
2's should probably have a turbo upgrade as well.
once you start doing injectors, alot of other stuff needs to be done as well.
