Can't help you, but would advise you to stay away from Lakeview Tire & Automotive. They were kind enough to install a clutch disk backwards on one of my work trucks.

There is a helluva good diesel mechanic over in Red Stick. He works on heavy equipment, but will do PSDs on the side.

Whats wrong with your truck?

TNT (formerly Gaerhardt's 225-752-9001) on Airline near Highland in BK. I think they have a shop in NO. You could call them and they may recommend a shop for you. I take mine there as opposed to the Dealer. Less expensive than the Dealer, some of my repairs I could have come on here and saved myself alot of money.

im getting a little over 20lbs. of boost and rough idle wouldnt be affected by the turbo would it?
the smoke goes away once the engine is fully warmed up
but if i turn it off it starts to smoke again at start up and it is taking longer for it to start than what it use to
any help as to where to start looking would be really helpful

The first thing I would check is the level and condition of your oil. Clean full oil is vital to a good running truck. What type of oil do you have in there and how old is it?

Do you know what the exhaust back pressure valve sounds like when it's closed? Could yours be sticking closed at warm up? Do you know where the ICP sensor is? You might try unplugging it to see if the truck starts any better. Also look for any signs of oil in the plug when you disconnect it.

The ICP sensor is the round looking thing with wires attached on the front inboard side of the drivers head.

Does your truck seem to whistle more when it's not warmed up yet?

Try this place. I dropped mine off there today to get the trans rebuilt. He knows his PSD chit from what I hear. He sounded real knowledgeable on the phone. He's worked on all 3 of my buddies PSDs, my dad's PSD and he works on all of the PSD ambulance fleet for WJ Hospital too. He's been trained on the PSD stuff too.

Where do you live on the WB? I'd offer up some help but I'm heading out of town for work in the AM. Does that Superchips programmer you have do diagnostic code readings? If so check it. Can it do a CCT (cylinder contribution test)? If so , do it and let us know the readings. From your symptoms I'm thinking an injector o-ring maybe? Is there fuel in the oil?
