I use a drill and a paint mixer you can by at any hardware store for mixing 5 gallon paint cans, works good in my 55 gallon barrel.

The company that sells it is The Dallas Group of America, Inc.

I do not believe they sell to the public. Here is the website of a guy that does.

FRYERPOWER HOME

click on the "MAGNESOL R60 and D-Sol (D60)" link in the navigation bar on the left side of the page then scroll down to the bottom and choose one of the options.

i did my first dry wash this weekend with a 4 gallon batch. Man, that stuff is a pain to work with. It is a very fine power.

However, I do like the results a lot better. I mixed about 10oz in the 4 gallons for about 30 minutes. I then filtered through a 1micron bag TWICE afterward.
It took a long time to filter out the magensol the first time. 2nd pass was a lot easier. Just wanted to make sure I got it all out.

Would it help to filter through a 5 micron first? What filtering process are you guys using for a 40 gallon batch.

I sure wouldn't want any in my injectors! It looked like mashed potatoes when I was washing it out of the filter bags.

The batch was with used oil and it came out a nice light yellow color. It passed the 3/27 and simple wash tests with flying colors.

I run mine through a series of filters 50 to 25 to 5 to 1 micron and then through a 1 micron absolute for final.

is it a good idea to let it settle a little after mixing? I didn't with my test batch.

I don't cause it just leaves gunk in the bottom of my barrel for the next batch.

Source for Magnasol. Phydeaux, I get mine from a local company that sells paper products, cleaning supplies and other restaurant related items. They are cheaper than fryerpower as you do not have to pay shipping. I pick mine up locally. Got a good deal cause the salesman had me help him put his processor together a taught him how to make his bio so he buys magnasol throught his company and I get mine for his cost. Right now it is $84.00 for a 50 pound box. Jeep Taylor

So do you guys gravity feed it through the bags so the pump doesn't grind it up?

Don. at what point in the filtering process would it be alright to pump the BD/Magnesol without fear of shearing it.( ie. after 50 micron,25 micron etc)
