best Tire - wheel combo for 2.5 lift

Nothing like beating a dead horse.. I have a 05 SD 4x4 CC 6.0 and want to level the truck. I am going with the Bilstein leveling kit. I have the stock 18" rims but I want to dump them in favor of something more aggressive. I dont want to lift the truck as I tow a large 5th. I am not sure if 33 or 35's or whether sticking with the 18" size is best or 17".. Just want it to look sweet.
I like the Moto Metal 957's or 958's as the rim of choice. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

ok I'll reply to my own thread.. I decided to do more research and see just what I can get away with. The crappy azz Conti's that the truck came with have a 3600 lb rating. I want to stay as close to that or better as I tow a large Fifth wheel so that is something that I cant get around. As I said I am thinking of switching to Moto Metal rims as they are wider than the stock rim (which is 7" width as I read somewhere).. Since I like Toyo MT's or Cooper STT or Nitto Terra Grappler I am left in sort of the 285/75/R18 if I stick with 18's (4000+ rating on the M/T) or a (325/65/R18 with 3860 on the Cooper STT).. Then I saw a truck on the TruckToyz gallery that had the Mickey Thompson Baja Claw in a 33 on a 05' King Ranch on stock rims (or so it said).. How do they do that? That tire has a 3500 rating according to the MT web site so it is close... So I'll ask again.. any recommendations?

ok. well more research has revealed a slew of tires that may suit my needs. I am mainly interested in the Coopetr STT's or Toyo M/T's and I have lots of internet friends that can contest to the quality and longevity of these tires. I also found the Mickey Thompson MTZ radials that I like alot too.. So then it is just a matter of what will fit a 18"x9" rim.. Most of the tires I found have a load rating of between 3400 and 4000 pounds.
Here is my short list (again now knowing what will fit on my 05 SD with Bilstein leveling kit)<table x:str="" style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 476pt;" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="633"><col style="width: 137pt;" width="183"><col> <tbody><tr><td class="xl24" style="height: 12.75pt; width: 137pt;" height="17" width="183">Brand

get the correct back-spacing also. I just bought a set of wheels/tires they are 10x16.5 weld wheels with 4.5" backspace and 35x12.5 bfg's... they rub even when I jacked up the front end 2.5" (because I'll be doing a leveling kit soon) they still rub the back part of the fender

I'll be following your progress closely. I have an 08' F-350 with 18'' rims and I too was thinking about the Bilstein level kit. As for tires I'm pretty much 100% for the Toyo MT's. In the wheel department I really like the KMC Revolvers in black as I think they would make my black 08' kick ****.

I'm not that picky, so who knows what I'll end up with, but I'm now just thinking a set of 18" rockstars.. an just doing the leveling kit.

We sell several SD wheels you may like. If it were me I'd stay with 18" and around 33" OD if you tow. Anything larger may pull the back down from so much tire sidewall.
