Where's Mike Bloomfield? Mark Knopfler? Peter Frampton? Dave Mason? Neil Young? Robin Trower? Walter Becker? Just a few. Sorry, that list doesn't do it for me.

Or Eddie Van Halen? Carlos Santana? Johnny Winter? Steve Howe? Even Steve Lukather.

True, it is the Top 25 "Riffs" and not players, but I think the list ought to at least have EVH on it.

#6 "Layla"--Derek and the Dominoes

Still. . . one of the best. . . ever. (Long version, of course.)

I'm gonna have to bring out the "Layla Sessions" boxed set tonight when I get home from work.

Didn't see any reference to David Gilmore either. Pink Floyd, although more well known for psychedelic(sp) sound, Gilmore can work a Strat like on other. Not too bad with an acoustic guitar either.

Mark Knopfler, for sure, another one. Sultans, 5 minutes of string bending rock & roll
